| 1,000 sats | $0.82 |

A satoshi — 'sat' — is the smallest unit of bitcoin: 0.00000001 BTC, or one hundred-millionth of a bitcoin. As BTC's price climbed into six figures, sats became the practical unit for everyday amounts, especially on the Lightning Network.
The hero number above shows the live price of a single satoshi in US dollars. Because one sat is worth a fraction of a cent (around $0.001 at a $100,000 BTC price), the conversion table focuses on useful bundles: 1,000 sats, 100,000 sats and a million sats.
The math is straightforward: sat price in USD = BTC price ÷ 100,000,000. Stacking sats — accumulating small amounts regularly — is how many bitcoiners build their holdings without buying a whole coin.
